The tartan

A clan/family tartan. Menteith is the name given to the western branch of the Graham family.

The kilt

A 5-yard 16 oz wool kilt. Normally a kilt being custom made in Scotland, but this one was bought ready-made on a sale, therefore in 24" 'standard' length. Also, the waste size was a bit too big.

In 2008, I bought the kilt on a sale.

The standard length, 24" is a bit too long to my taste.

With my 175 cm/5'9", the kilt covers my knees.

After a few wearings, I sold it.

Someday, I might buy a kilt in Graham of Menteith tartan again; then a tad shorter and in 13 oz.
