5.11 Tactical Combat kilt sand
The kilt
A utility kilt made by the American company 5.11 Tactical.
The kilt is available in various waist sizes, but the length is standard 24". Like with trousers, the actual waistline is not quite correct. Unless you plan to gain weight, go one size down.
5.11 has subsidiaries in Europe and a warehouse in Sweden. Therefore, EU customers can have the kilt without any taxes. What comes on top is only a very low shipment cost.
The kilt design is a mix of rather few knife pleats and box pleats. Seen from behind, they make it look as if there were no pleats and thereby not very kilt-like. A skirt rather than a kilt, then? I don't know, really. But why not just accept how the manufacturer has positioned it and call it a kilt? At the hemline, it measures over three yards, ensuring non-restrictive moving around, like with any other kilt/type of kilt.
And if a skirt? No problem with me. It is not the clothing that defines who is a man and who is a woman. If it were, we would hardly have any women left in the world, would we?
